"To begin, begin." ⏤William Wordsworth
It has been quite a while since I sent out a newsletter, and several things have changed since then.
First and foremost, you have surely noticed that I’m now writing from a new platform- and I am super excited about that. I didn’t plan to change, but one day in January, after having struggled for months and months with the previous platform, I was synchronically guided to this new one. And my heart let me know without any doubt this was exactly the next step I had to take. And so, I’m here :)
Make yourself comfortable, have a look around… I hope you’ll like the “blog” format as much as I do!
I have just started, so we’ll never know where my Muse is going to lead me. However, what I know is that I want these letters from my heart to you to be short and on point, easy to write and easy to read. I don’t want to offer you long and boring articles, but rather short reminders, pearls of wisdom from my life and food for thought, in order to inspire you in your own journey to create your “joyfully abundant life”… just as I’m creating mine.
Around here:
At the beginning of January, I felt a strong momentum in my life, and I started taking inspired actions following the whispers in my heart.
I started decluttering my studio- yet again! I did not plan this at all, but I felt it was much needed, especially now that I’m feeling this strong momentum in all areas of my life. And as usual, I went with the flow and just began. It became soon evident to me that I needed to take a different approach than before, and by changing my methodologies I’ve made such a quantum leap! WOW! It has been nothing short of incredible and amazing to witness myself doing that. I felt that my previous approach, based upon trying to simply better organize my stuff and myself, couldn’t lead me to permanent results. So I opened my mind and heart, and followed my intuition. This prompted me to massively declutter (yeah, I said that! LOL), to give myself all the time I needed without worrying about piles and mess around the house, and buy lots and lots of new containers at the famous Swedish store (something I never wanted to do for various reasons). It was a big investment, that gave me even more clarity and insights about Abundance. I’m now super happy and excited about my new studio, and I hope to finish organizing it soon and start painting and creating like there’s no tomorrow!
I decided it was time to begin again with my regular Morning Walk in Nature. Over the past couple years I haven’t walked in Nature as much as I would have liked, for several reasons. I have gone for bike rides in Nature, and long walks downtown (maybe I’ll share with you in another post about these self-care practices of mine…)- but I missed my daily walks in Nature. So I decided to fix this straight away, and organize myself. I decided to approach this change softly, I’m not so strict with my schedule to create resistance or any negative feeling. If I can’t walk in the woods or meadows on a certain day, I gladly walk downtown for errands- but the desire is there in my heart to establish again this routine in my life.
I revisited my nutrition. I felt I needed to readjust my trajectory. And so, I started making changes right away. I have successfully completed two months with my new intentions regarding food and nutrition, and just recently, I have had the idea of making a Vision Board with all the things I want to eat and do in this regard, that will help me to stay focused.
I started buying fresh flowers again for myself, every week. In particular, I decided to place them on my office desk- it’s where my computer is, and where I spend quite a bit of time each and every day. In my studio, all year round, I usually have foraged flowers or natural elements like twigs or grasses that I bring home from my walks in Nature- or little pots of bulbs… and every now and then, I used to buy fresh flowers. But this January, it came to me to move the flowers to my office space, and keep my art/work table as clear as possible. This is both a practical way to increase my productivity and reduce my stress and frustration of having a cluttered table, and a radical self-care practice, since I spend a lot of time at the computer, and a bunch of fresh flowers to keep me company is exactly what I needed! While I’m typing this, I keep smiling and sighing each and every time I lay my eyes on those dainty petals! :) Watch this vlog of mine about this practice, where I also speak about abundance and lack.
One important note and pearl of wisdom about all these changes, that I have applied over and over again in my life to make permanent changes, is that I never overthink anything. If my heart speaks, I am humble and trusting enough to follow its guidance without objections. And this is what always leads me to succeed in all of my endeavors.
If you are trying to make changes in your life, and don’t know where to start from, this is probably the wisest and most practical and powerful piece of advice I could offer you. Just begin. Right now. Don’t overthink. Do something, anything, in the direction of your dreams and desires.
And if you’re wondering how to get started, it’s very simple.
To begin, begin.

Until next time,
Monica xoxo
Trying to see if it works! :)
